Bach flower remedies such as ‘Recue Remedy’ incorporate the use of flower essences distilled into liquid form to treat a range of mental and psychological conditions in both people and animals. Developed by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930’s, these are subtle treatments and whilst they do not work in every situation, we have had some success with these treatments as a primary treatment or in conjunction with conventional veterinary treatments for:
- Post surgical stress and anxiety, especially in small breed dogs
- Urine spraying by cats
- Fears and phobias in dogs and cats ie to thunderstorms, travelling etc
- Stress ie in multi cat or dog households, separation anxiety, after attack by other animals
- Aggression and dominance behaviour
Whilst we have no formal qualifications in the use of Bach Flower treatments, all our vets can advise you if Bach Flower treatments are likely to be beneficial for your pet and can supply treatments.
